At Fairway we aim to give you the best possible treatments for your lawn to ensure a healthy, beautiful look, year-round. Our main way of doing that is through our 8 lawn care treatments applied every 6-8 weeks throughout the year. The following timeline is meant to show our effective treatment process for Fescue lawns.
1. Winter Application (Jan-Feb)
We start the year by applying a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent crabgrass and broad-leaf weeds from germinating. Fertilizer is applied at a high rate to ensure quick green-up and recovery from the winter months.
2. Early Spring Application (Mar-Apr)
Another pre-emergent herbicide is applied to your turf to extend the protection period and to strengthen the pre-emergent barrier. Fertilizer is applied at a higher rate to ensure a quicker, stronger green-up.
3. Mid-Spring Application (Apr-May)
A fungicide is applied to help prevent and control brown-patch fungus.
4. Late-Spring Application (May-June)
A slow release nitrogen fertilizer is applied with balanced ingredients to help maintain the healthy color and growth of your lawn.
5. Early Summer Application (June-July)
A liquid iron is applied to darken the color and maintain healthy growth throughout the summer. We also apply a fungicide to help prevent and control brown-patch fungus.
6. Late Summer Application (Aug-Sept)
A granular lime is applied to your lawn to help neutralize acidic soil conditions. As in the last treatment, a fungicide will also be applied to help prevent and control brown-patch fungus.
7. Early Fall Application (Oct-Nov)
A semi-slow release fertilizer with balanced ingredients is applied to maintain color and healthy growth going into the winter months.
8. Late Fall Application (Nov-Dec)
A high nitrogen fertilizer with balanced ingredients is applied to maintain color and healthy growth throughout the winter.
Weed control is applied every visit to keep your lawn looking healthy and weed-free all year. If you are not satisfied with the treatment or simply need some extra help, we will come back to re-treat at no additional cost.
